MSHA Safety Supervisor

Responsibilities & Expectations:  Promote safety program, compliance with safety standards and lead and/or participate in site safety meetings. Ensure compliance through MSHA including employee (task) training and monitoring occupational exposure limitations. Monitor safety progress against goals and implement programs as directed. Follow appropriate reporting procedures. Direct and/or conduct prompt investigations of safety related incidents including root-cause analysis with a focus toward prevention. Individual will promptly communicate findings and update safe work procedures. Serve as contact person between regulatory agencies and operations as required. Manage pro-active Behavior Based Safety Program. Manage the training program for the plant including safety, equipment, task and procedures. Position will require occasional travel.   Required Skills Self-starter with high energy and proven record of instituting continuous improvement. Ability to independently learn and understand technical, regulatory, and external issues regarding the environmental and MSHA safety programs at the plant. Ability to positively interact with regulatory agencies to ensure understanding of requirements and obtain achievable compliance requirements. Ability to independently audit and inspect industrial operations, identifying compliant or non-compliant safety and environmental issues, and effectively communicate those findings to management. Ability to communicate with internal and external parties in a collaborative, positive manner, representing the Company's interests. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Specifically Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Required Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Safety and Health (preferred), engineering or a related technical field A minimum of five (5) years' experience in manufacturing safety management. Experience in a mining operation preferred. Must have a detailed working knowledge of MSHA and/or OSHA regulations, policies, and procedures understanding of laws and regulations as they relate to safety compliance within the RCC location In addition, experience managing a behavior-based safety program is strongly desired. Experience in dealing with the aforementioned agencies preferred. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
